Who we are

What this website collects

This site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no comments and no shopping cart. There is exactly one place where you can give us information, and that is the contact form.

The contact form

When you send us a message we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you typed. We use it to answer your enquiry and to follow up on it. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass it to anyone else.

Your message is held briefly on Cloudflare's network, where this site runs, so that it is not lost if our own systems are unavailable when you send it. It is then transferred into our internal business system, and the copy on Cloudflare is deleted within 30 days of that transfer. We also receive it as an email.

After that it is held in our business system for as long as it is useful for your enquiry and any work that follows. If you would like us to delete it, email us and we will.

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person is submitting it rather than a script. It does not track you across sites.

Competitions and promotions

If we run a competition, the entry form will say what we collect and what we do with it at the point you enter, and the terms for that competition will apply to it. Entries are used to run and judge that competition. We will not add you to a mailing list from an entry, and we delete entries once the competition is finished and any prize has been awarded.

Analytics

There is no analytics script on this site, no advertising tag, and no third-party cookie. We set no cookies of our own at all.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, counts requests at its network edge so that we can see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. That counting happens as part of serving the page and involves nothing running in your browser. It is aggregated, and it does not identify you.

Others who see your request

Serving a web page means a small number of other companies necessarily see the request:

• Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site, and handles the contact form. They see the request, including your IP address, as part of delivering it. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Google Fonts serves the two typefaces this site uses. Loading a font from their servers discloses your IP address to Google.
• Microsoft hosts our email, so a message you send through the contact form arrives in a Microsoft 365 mailbox.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@elementdigital.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top of it. The history of every change is in the repository this site is built from.
